Thank you to everyone who donated this week, you helped make this jeans drive a success!
The Women’s Student Action Coalition is collecting jeans for homeless teenagers and needs YOUR help. For the past three years Aeropostale has collected jeans for homeless teens in the U.S. and Canada. In these difficult times it is important to remember our homeless sisters (and brothers)! If you would like to help by donating your used or unwanted jeans please bring them to [Dean Meechie's] office by 21st of February. PLUS this year Aeropostale is also collecting jeans to send to Haiti! IF YOU CAN, PLEASE HELP! The weather last week prevented us from collecting, so we only have one week to collect as many jeans as possible.
*The only requirement for donating is that the jeans be in “wearable” condition, i.e. no ripped or torn jeans.
*Jeans can be any brand, male or female and any size.

Has everyone seen our B-E-A-UTIFUL bulletin board????? We will be updating it regularly for black history month. On the bulletin board you will find, a brief profile of an African American woman who has contributed to the feminist movement. The week it was bell hooks, the profile is brief but if you would like to know more about bell hooks and her work I encourage you to visit:

Or look for her books in Trinity’s library. “Ain’t I a Woman: Black Women and Feminism” might be a good introduction.
