Saturday September 24th at 11:00 am: Meet us at the 11:00 am Trinity shuttle for an afternoon in the city. We will be taking part in a global event called Moving Planet (moving-planet.org).

What we will be doing: The first 15 students will receive metro cards, then we will ride the metro to the Red Line UDC stop, where we will take part in a 45 minute tour exploring the new sustainability measures adopted by University of the District of Columbia (UDC). This includes visits to the largest green roof project in the District, enhanced recycling facilities, and the net zero energy experimental visitor center. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, pack snacks, and bring your reusable water bottles!

After the tour: We will be visiting DC VegFest, located in Foggy Bottom. This is a FREE outdoor festival celebrating the very best of everything vegetarian in and around the nation’s capital. Do not feel the need to be a vegetarian to enjoy this day! You are free to leave the festival whenever you would like.
