I haven’t come into contact with an organization specializing in this issue yet, but I plan to do so in the future. One of my goals in life is to support organizations that work to end this slavery and one day I would like to have my own organization that does the same. I want to help victims who have survived this life. I want to help them get their lives back after going through this traumatic experience. They should know that they matter and a traumatic experience such as this does not have to ruin their lives. The reason why I feel such a personal connection with this issue is because I have sisters and I would be devastated if they had to go through something like this. If I have the chance I would like to educate girls on how to protect themselves so they will not become vulnerable to predators who want to exploit them.
If there is one thing that I’m passionate about, it is the fight to raise awareness and stop human trafficking. The first time I became aware of this issue I was fourteen. I watched the three hour movie “Human Trafficking” and I was shocked about what I saw. I had no idea this thing was going on in the world, let alone my own country. My mind was bottled about how young children and females were bought and sold in this disgusting industry.
